Alicia Johnson, Ph.D., is the Director of Civil Rights and Inclusion at the Regional Metropolitan Transit Authority of Omaha, otherwise known as Metro. She also serves as Metro’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Liaison Officer. Metro is committed to providing opportunities for DBEs in an effort to create a level playing field and provide fair opportunities for all businesses competing for contracts. In the upcoming three Federal Fiscal Years (2024-2026), Metro seeks to spend at least 4.6% of their anticipated federal funds (~$30.5 million) with DBEs certified through the Nebraska Unified Certification Program across a range of industries. 

April Hibbler is a business development specialist for the SBA's 8(a) Business Development Program in Nebraska, with prior experience as an entrepreneur and consultant. She has successfully managed business development projects in the US and Nigeria and holds degrees in global antitrust law, juris doctor, international strategic management, and international business and finance. April is dedicated to combating economic injustice and integrating marginalized groups into the economy. She is passionate about helping small businesses navigate the federal government process and succeed.
