Food Startup 101
This two-hour course is designed to help pre-launch food entrepreneurs ? or anyone who has ever thought about starting a food business ? understand the steps from idea to business. Topics include: startup costs and what to expect, setting up your business, health department and licensing, business planning and marketing. After this class, an entrepreneur will be ready to take the next steps to starting their business. This is the cornerstone class for Kitchen Council and a prerequisite for anyone applying for membership to the Kitchen Council Incubator.
Minority Small Business Summit & Pitch Competition
Now in its third year, the Minority Small Business Summit is a chance for minority small business owners and entrepreneurs to strategize and grow at a day-long event. Attendees will have the opportunity to network, participate in educational sessions, and connect to community resources.
Tickets to this event are available at no cost thanks to the generous support of the event sponsors: Omaha West Rotary Club, Greater Omaha Chamber REACH, Security National Bank, Lamson Dugan & Murray Law, and the Nebraska Business Development Center.
In addition, the conference will feature the second Minority Small Business Summit Pitch Competition, with five finalists competing for funding for their business

Demystifying Tech Careers Workshop
This workshop provides participants with basic knowledge and definitions of technology terms and concepts. The goal of this workshop is to ''demystify'' tech by providing clear definitions of the five areas of tech as defined by the AIM Institute.
Participants will learn the technical foundation needed to gain access to the area's fastest-growing H3(high demand, high skill, high wage) technology careers.
This event will be offered in-person.
